How to Enter Upgrade Mode Using the Reset Button

Power off the NSLU2.

Using a paper clip, push and hold in the Reset button in the back of the NSLU2.

While holding in the Reset button, press and release the NSLU2's Power button.

Watch the Ready/Status LED and as soon as it turns RED, release the Reset button.

If you were successful the NSLU2 will be in "Upgrade Mode", which is indicated by the Ready/Status LED quickly alternating between red and green.

(Note that if the Ready/Status LED ends up flashing yellow, this means you didn't release the reset button quickly enough after the LED turned red. Power off the NSLU2 and start over above.
